Bhakti Sadan

Bhakti Sadan is a concept of taking the temple to the local communities. In this modern world, in big cities,  commuting to distance places is a big  challenge. Factors like traffic, pollution, busy schedule and  lack of time ensures people are denied the opportunity for self realisation or Krishna Consciousness.

This concept was planted in year 2004 by HH Jayapataka Swami Maharaj during a conversation with our temple President HG Anukul Keshav Das. HG Anukul Prabhu was lamenting that many devotees are not coming to temple in spite of management making nice arrangements like Bhagavad Gita and Bhagavatam classes, wonderful Kirtan, Darshan and Prasadam. HH Jayapataka Swami Maharaj pointed out the challenges of the common public and asked him why he is not thinking of taking the temple to them instead of expecting them to come to the temple.

HG Anukul Prabhu, contemplated on this idea and  gave shape to it. Accordingly, it was decided to set up small replicas of temple programs in various parts of the city of Bangalore and named them Bhakti sadan.

The salient feature of Bhakti Sadan is that it will function every Sunday replicating the Sunday Feast program that happens in the main temple. The local congregation in various parts of Bangalore congregation were given an opportunity to take up the service of facilitating such programs. Each Sadan will function every Sunday for 3 hours where  the devotees conduct the Sunday Feast program which comprises of Tulasi Aarthi/Gaura Aarthi, Kirtan, Bhagavad Gita Class and Prasadam. That way,  many people from that locality could participate without having to travel far. This has helped hundreds of people to understand and practice Krishna consiousness and experience bliss and spiritual fulfilment all over Bangalore. All festivals are also celebrated in these Sadans just like how it is celebrated in the main temple. This way, Thousands of devotees are  getting to experience and practice Krishna Consciousness blissfully and get the blessings of Lord Sri Krishna.
